Integration APIs - SAP Commerce Cloud Release 1808
From SAP Customer Experience Enablement on July 11th, 2018
The SAP Integration APIs introduce a new way of integrating with SAP Commerce Cloud. SAP Commerce integration strategy is based on the principle of “Integration via public APIs”. Going forward, SAP Commerce integration strategy will be aligned with SAP's 'Vision for Integrating SAP Applications in Cloud and Hybrid Environments'. With the newly-exposed OData v2 APIs, users can dynamically expose services by defining Integration Objects in the Backoffice or via Impex. With the introduction of Integration Objects, SAP Commerce Cloud provides a new way of defining the structure of a business-level entity used for Process Integration and Master Data Synchronization:
- Integration Objects facilitate the creation of API services.
- User-initiated creation of POST and GET OData v2 Services at runtime for inbound communications.
- Payloads for inbound and outbound requests can be created and modified at runtime.
- The new Integration Backoffice perspective offers a convenient place to model Integration Objects and monitor incoming data.
